What is hair transplant?
Hair transplant; Taking hair follicles from areas with high density and non-shedding property with different techniques and surgically transferring them to the balding areas.
Hair Transplant Technics: FUT (Follicular Unite Transplantation) and
FUE (Follicular Unite Extraction)
These two technics used in the world for hair transplantation, although the FUE technic is more common because it does not leave permanent scaring on the donor area.
FUT technic means cutting a strip of tissue from the scalp followed by cutting it up into thousands of follicular units and implanting them to the recipient area. Stiches are used in this technic and there’s permanent scaring on the donor area.
FUE technic means removing hair follicles from the scalp one at a time with the use of a micro punches. There is no permanent scaring on the donor area.
The only difference between the two methods is how the hair follicles are extracted.
